May Means an Evening Event at the Heart of the UCR Campus

An event celebrates diversity for students and the rest of the campus community

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) -- UC Riverside will host a Unity in R' Community Celebration showcasing the cultures and talents of UCR students from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 27 in Highlander Plaza. It is completely student-organized, with resources provided by the student resource centers on campus. It is free and open to the public.

Raise the Roof: Many Voices, One Heart Beat

A Unity in R’ Community Celebration Emcees offer dedications of support to victims of bias attacks and injustice in our communities. Participants raise money for a water pump and other basic supplies for a community in need, via UNICEF. A night of solidarity, cultural awareness, peace, and charity through dance, music, song, spoken word and theatrical performances. Your voice is welcomed, your heartbeat essential.
