Career Night 2000 Brings 150 Employers to Campus April 12

UCR students and alumni can circulate their resumes, network and learn about job opportunities when more than 150 employers gather for Career Night 2000, scheduled for 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, at the Student Recreation Center.

Career Night 2000, with recruitment and information booths representing business, industry, government, and school districts, is sponsored by the UCR Career Services Center. There is no admission charge for the event.

Students and alumni will have an opportunity to learn about current and projected job opportunities, internships, cooperative education programs and available summer or part-time jobs. In 1999, more than 150 organizations participated in the event.

Among the organizations expected to participate this year are American Express, ADP, AutoTrader.com, CALTRANS, Disneyland, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the FBI, Ingram Micro, John Hancock, Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Company, Marine Terminals Corporation, Maxim Healthcare Services, McDonald's, Pitney Bowes, Sherwin Williams, Southern California Gas Company, Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance, and a number of Southern California public school districts. Those attending Career Night 2000 are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be dressed in professional attire. For more information, call (909) 787-3631.
