The Life of Professor Emerita Christena Lindborg Schlundt Will be Celebrated With Music and Dance

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) -- The UC Riverside Department of Dance will celebrate the life of Professor Emerita Christena Lindborg Schlundt, from 12:10 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, in the Performance Lab, ARTS 166.

An eminent scholar of dance history and a visionary educator, Prof. Schlundt envisioned the study of dance in the university as encompassing artistic, historical, and theoretical frameworks. Her leadership in the growth and development of the Department of Dance at UC Riverside has had an unmistakable impact on the entire field of dance studies.

This event is acknowledgment of her contributions. Speakers include members of the Dance faculty, as well as guests from the UCR campus community. Also included will be performances of dance and music in honor of Prof. Schlundt.
