RIVERSIDE, Calif. — www.ucr.edu — G. Lawrence Zahn, a former associate dean at the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management, has agreed to serve as interim dean of the school, Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Ellen Wartella announced today.

He will take over for Rajiv Banker, who is serving as an economic development advisor to Chancellor France A. Córdova. The appointment takes effect immediately, Wartella said.

He holds a Ph.D. in administrative science from Yale University, where he also received his bachelor’s degree. He earned his Master’s in Business Administration from Stanford University.

“I look forward to working with Larry during this transition,” Wartella said. “His knowledge and ability in organization and communication will serve the campus well.”

Prof. Zahn previously served as associate dean in the Graduate Division, and was associate dean in AGSM in 2003-2004. In the mid-1980s, Zahn held the position of interim Vice Chancellor for Administration for about six months while campus leaders filled the position.
