The Hispanic Border Leadership Institute at UCR is sponsoring the event. Panelists include Antonia Darder, professor of education at the Claremont Graduate School; Paul Ruiz, a partner in the Education Trust, Inc., a policy think tank; Flora Ida Ortiz, professor of education at UCR; and Chicano author Luis Rodriguez.
Audience members will be able to discuss issues with panelists during the daylong gathering, titled "Latino(a) Educators and Educational Change: Bridging to Communities."
