The conference runs from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in room 1500 of the Humanities and Social Sciences building. It is free and open to the public, although parking on campus costs $5 per day.
"We are looking forward to a very lively and stimulating conference, said John Martin Fischer, professor of philosophy and conference organizer. “Gary Watson has brought great distinction to our department, and it will be fun to celebrate his achievement."
Speakers include Michael Bratman of Stanford University and Stephen Darwall of the University of Michigan. Also participating will be: Harry Frankfurt, Princeton (emeritus); Barbara Herman, UCLA; Dana Nelkin, UC San Diego; Alfred Mele, Florida State University, and Manuel Vargas, University of San Francisco.
