Ribbon Cutting and Champagne Toast
The campus will hold a toast to celebrate the renovation of the Geology building.
“The renovations allow us to do top-notch science in a manner that we couldn’t do before because we lacked the facilities,” said Mary Droser, chair of earth sciencs. “This building is home to the kind of science – the study of earthquakes, climate change and wildfires, for example – that is incredibly relevant to California, the country and the world. Now we have a building that will allow us to do that science even better.”

2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tailgate and the Big Game:
Show your Highlander spirit at UCR’s pep rally featuring Scotty and the Highlander band, the Highlander girls, and a pipe band procession into the game. Celebrate Homecoming with food, games and a beer garden. Event leads into the 5 p.m. homecoming game starting at the Student Recreation Center.
