UCR’s Chancellor White Has Complications from Recent Heart Procedure
He pledged to return to normal duties as soon as possible

At the hospital, cardiologist Joseph Quan, M.D. of the Riverside Medical Clinic performed an emergency cardiac catheterization procedure, which he said was required because of a blood clot in the artery in which a stent had been placed last week.
White is now resting comfortably; from his hospital bed he thanked all involved and pledged to return to normal duties as soon as possible.
UCR Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost Dallas L. Rabenstein is acting on behalf of White in his absence.
UCR will provide updates on the Chancellor’s condition as needed in coming days.
