Musical Love “Notes” to Float Around Campus Feb. 14

Carillon Fund-raiser Makes Valentine’s Day More Tune-ful

RIVERSIDE, Calif. ( -- The UCR Friends of the Carillon will raise money with an unusual Valentine’s Day trade, a takeoff on the dedication of a song on the radio. For a tax-deductible donation of at least $15, anyone can broadcast a love note from the top of the 161-foot carillon tower.

The written dedication, 15 words or less, will be posted on the Web site for the UCR carillon, UC Riverside carillonneur David Christensen will play these songs at noon on Feb. 14:
