UC Riverside Announces Commencement Ceremonies

Noted Keynote Speakers Include Business Leaders, Academics and a Physician

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (www.ucr.edu) The University of California, Riverside will hold Commencement ceremonies on the weekend of June 12 and 13, 2004. Commencement ceremonies will be held on both the lawn south of the University Commons (Commons lawn) and inside the Student Recreation Center at various times throughout the weekend. More than 3,700 students are eligible to graduate this year. Commencement Ceremonies are held according to students’ majors, events are as follows:

FRIDAY, JUNE 11

  • 4:00 p.m. Commencement Awards Ceremony, Commons Terrace Rooms. Each year, the University of California, Riverside honors the recipients of the Commencement Awards for their extraordinary work in the classroom and laboratory and their contributions to the campus and the community.



SATURDAY, JUNE 12
COMMENCEMENT — College of Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences I (Commons Lawn) Business Administration Majors

  • 8:00 a.m. Ceremony begins

  • Keynote Speaker: Richard J. Heckmann, Chairman and CEO, K2, Inc.
  • 10:00 a.m. Ceremony concludes
